Summer is the perfect opportunity for high school graduates to go explore various parts of the world before heading off to college. One of my favourite places to go is Seoul, Korea.
Korea is a melting pot of culture. With a variety of activities for one to explore, there’s everything all the way from public saunas to a Kpop concerts. One of the most famous reason why Korea is so popular among foreigners is not just the diversity of activities to pick from. Korea is known for their night life with clubbing and concerts lasting throughout the night. Seoul is famous for its vibrant night-life culture and because of this, foreigners don’t have to fret getting bored in Korea. A trip to Korea is always guaranteed to be a fun one! You can also experience Namsan Tower, a tower that reaches 480 meters above sea level, one of the top romantic spots for couples. Plus, if you happen to be a hard-core Kpop fan, you will have everything you need in Seoul. The souvenir culture almost revolves around Kpop idols and Korean actors or actresses, making Korea a phenomenal place to go if you want to spend money on your favourite Kpop idol group.
The food in Korea is one of the most unique and diverse in the world. With foods ranging from live moving octopus all the way to spicy rice cake. If you want to go all out, there is no better place to go than Seoul. Food in Seoul is relatively cheaper if you eat at food stands, so if you have a set budget, trying street food may be your best bet! One of the hot spots for Korean street food is Myeongdong, which is visited many Asian tourists, especially those from East Asia. Myeongdong is famous for their long alleys of shops as well as street food, making it one of the most vibrant places to especially after the sun set when things start to get active!
Despite the stigma that surrounds plastic surgery, Korea is often titled the kingdom of plastic surgery, with their advanced technology for cosmetic procedures and their huge market demand for it. Because of this, plastic surgery procedures are undoubtedly very common and popular in South Korea. Among Koreans, one of the most famous procedure is known as the double eyelid surgery. Foreigners from China and Japan come all the way to Seoul to get plastic surgery. If you are looking for a graduation gift involving cosmetic procedures for a change in appearance, perhaps, Seoul may be a great place in giving you the aesthetic change as well as the confidence boost.
